JAM 2022 will be held as a computer-based ONLINE examination on February 13, 2022 (Sunday).
Foreign nationals must comply with the rules and regulations of the Admitting Institute(s) governing foreign students in order to be admitted. They should contact the relevant Admitting Institute for more information (s).
To apply for admission to a chosen programme, a candidate must pass the relevant Test Paper and meet the relevant Academic Program’s Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) and Eligibility Requirements (ERs).
Candidates who have taken or are scheduled to take their qualifying degree’s final examination in 2022 are also eligible to take JAM 2022. Candidates who qualify in JAM 2022 can apply for provisional admission under the following conditions: (a) all parts of their final examination must be completed by the Admitting Institute’s date of registration, and (b) proof of having passed the qualifying degree with the required eligibility, as specified by the Admitting Institute, must be submitted by September 30, 2022.
Separate merit lists will be created for General (GEN), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), OBC Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), SC, ST, and Persons with Disability (PwD) category applicants based on their performance in JAM 2022.
Admission to the majority of Academic Programs at various institutes will be based on JAM 2022 Rank.
Requests for changes in category, if any, must be submitted by May 4, 2022, with adequate proof. Requests received after this date will not be considered in any way.
Candidates should be aware that simply appearing in JAM 2022 or making the merit list for any Test Paper does not guarantee or ensure automatic admission. Qualified candidates must follow the authorised procedure to apply for admission. In each category, admissions will be made in order of merit and the number of seats available at the Admitting Institute (s).
According to the policy of the Admitting Institute, the list of academic programmes, number of seats, eligibility requirements, and minimum educational qualifications of each of the programmes indicated in this Information Brochure are subject to change (s).
The decision of the Organizing Institute, JAM 2022, in regard to the interpretation of the provisions on any topic not mentioned in this Information Brochure shall be final and binding on all parties involved.

Although JAM 2022 is held at many locations around the country, the Organizing Institute, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, is in charge of the entire event. In the event of any claims or disputes relating to JAM 2022, it is expressly stated that the Nainital High Court (Nainital, Uttarakhand) will have sole jurisdiction to hear and resolve any such claims and disputes.
